Meet Chasidy Ford, who has been a valued member of the Charles Lea Center team for 2½ years, serving as a Registered Behavior Therapist. She finds the greatest fulfillment in her work through the relationships she builds with the individuals we support and the colleagues she works alongside each day.
Chasidy was inspired to join Charles Lea after previously working with two autistic boys through respite services. That experience motivated her to continue a career supporting individuals with disabilities and special needs, a passion that continues to guide her work.
In her role, Chasidy has a broad impact across the organization. She teaches Positive Behavior Support, processes all Human Rights Committee restrictions, and completes psychotropic medication reviews for PDRs. She also conducts behavioral assessments and observations for individuals we support. In addition, Chasidy serves on the Advocacy Board and produces the Advocacy Bulletin to help ensure individuals stay informed about important advocacy-related topics.
Her educational background includes Alzheimer’s and Dementia certification through the Alzheimer’s Association, along with experience in public and allied health, administration, and her Registered Behavior Therapist credentials.
Outside of work, Chasidy enjoys fishing, riding her golf cart, and spending time with her new grandbaby. She shares that she loves her job and the individuals we support, describing her work at Charles Lea as an amazing opportunity to make a difference.
