Person-Centered Planner | Nearly 10 Years of Service
Meet Gloria Porter, a dedicated Person-Centered Planner who will celebrate 10 years with the Charles Lea Center (CLC) in March 2026! Gloria’s passion for helping others shines through in everything she does.
“I love being able to make a positive impact by helping individuals achieve their goals, dreams, and desires,” Gloria shares. “Building meaningful relationships and seeing personal growth in the people I serve is what keeps me inspired.”
As a Person-Centered Planner, a role unique to the CLC, Gloria connects Day, Employment, and Supportive Housing Services. She helps individuals transition smoothly into programs, develops personalized support plans, and ensures every person has a voice and a clear path toward success.
Gloria holds degrees in Early Childhood Education and Sociology, and outside of work, she enjoys decorating her home, spending time with her family, and doting on her energetic toy poodle.
Reflecting on her time at the Center, Gloria says, “It’s been an honor to be part of such an amazing organization. I love the individuals and families I serve and look forward to all the amazing things ahead.”
Two quotes guide her work:
“However difficult life may seem, there is always something you can do and succeed at.” – Stephen Hawking
“The only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work.” – Steve Jobs
Thank you, Gloria, for your creativity, compassion, and nearly a decade of dedicated service to the CLC community! 💚
