🌟 Team CLC was proud to be part of the Tennessee Disability Mega Conference!

Our Tennessee team recently joined leaders, advocates, educators and professionals from across the state to learn, connect and share ideas that create greater inclusion, independence and opportunity for people with disabilities.
Representing CLC were Sandra Mooney, TN Director of Innovation Coordination Services, Katina Cole, West TN Regional Manager, and Natalie Craig, Middle TN Regional Manager.

One of the highlights of the conference was reconnecting with Marie, one of our recent MAPs graduates. In addition to graduating from MAPs, she recently completed a program at Vanderbilt! 🎓 Through MAPs, Marie has used enabling technology supports that help her live independently and stay connected with her family. What a wonderful example of what’s possible when people have the right tools and support, and we’re grateful to have played a part in her journey. 💚

We also enjoyed connecting with our DDA Transition Guide for Middle Tennessee and so many others working to strengthen opportunities for people with disabilities across the state.
We’re proud of our Tennessee team for being part of these important conversations and even prouder to see the impact of MAPs in action. Learning. Connecting. Supporting independence. That’s what it’s all about! 💚🧡💙

✨ A day of learning, innovation, and connection? Yes, please! ✨

Today, we had the opportunity to learn about the exciting advancements in assistive technology at the South Carolina Techwave Assistive Technology Conference. 💡🤝📱

We're especially proud that our CEO, Jerry Bernard, presented a session on person-centered planning and assessment. 👏 We were also thrilled to see Theresa Robbins, a member of the CLC Board of Directors and a recipient of CLC services, share her experiences as part of a panel discussion. 🌟

And a big shout-out to Omar Chirinos, Senior Director of Information Technology & Innovative Services, for his work behind the scenes helping coordinate the conference and make the day a success!

Thank you, Jerry, Theresa, and Omar, for representing CLC and showing the power of innovation, collaboration, and person-centered support. You made us proud!

And thank you to all of the presenters for sharing their knowledge and expertise. 🙏 There was so much valuable information exchanged, and we look forward to seeing how these innovations continue to improve lives across our state.

We had the BEST day when Emit’s Adventures came to visit us at the Charles Lea Center! 🐍🐾

They brought along some fluffy and slithery friends. Yep, snakes and lizards were among the pretty bunnies! It was like having a petting zoo come right to us, and we loved every minute of it.

The Emit’s Adventures team was so patient and kind, taking time to show us each animal and even letting us pet and hold them. Sending them a big thank you for bringing such a fun and unforgettable experience to our day! We can’t wait to have you back! 💚
