What types of programs and services does the Charles Lea Center provide?

The Charles Lea Center provides an array of services including residential homes/apartments, day programs and work programs. Services are offered for infants to seniors. All services are structured to benefit different degrees of abilities.

Who does the Charles Lea Center service?

Services are provided for men, women and children with intellectual disabilities and/or chronic medical conditions in Spartanburg County. In addition, we provide Case Management services for men, women and children in Spartanburg, Cherokee and Union Counties and Early Intervention for children from infants to age five in Spartanburg, Cherokee and Union Counties.

Is there a real Charles Lea?

Yes, there was an actual Charles Lea. He was an influential Spartanburg businessman who was the president/CEO of the Spartanburg County Foundation when the Charles Lea Center was established. He has since passed away.
