'Where development has no disability'

The Aktion Club is a community-service group sponsored by Kiwanis International. The club provides adults with disabilities the opportunity to develop initiatives, serve their community and build core values of caring, inclusiveness, and leadership through community service projects of their choice.

The club is open to any adult in the community wishing to become a leader in his or her community or provide service to others. Possible service projects include: visiting with nursing home residents, painting benches in the park, landscaping community grounds, recycling cans, planting trees and flowers, distributing food baskets to families in need.

Meetings are held monthly at destinations chosen by the group.
